The ongoing row over the rights of Transgender men and women and the gender reform bill has resulted in a slump of opinion for both Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP and their quest for Scottish Independence.
According to a YouGov poll for The Sunday Times, the Scottish first minister’s public opinion rating has decreased to -4 from 7 in October last year. Support for the SNP is reported to have fallen from 50% to 44%, its lowest level for five years, and support for Scottish Independence has dropped from 53% to 47%.
The results of these polls come on the day that hundreds of people rallied in Glasgow against the reforms, with lots of anger being shown towards Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP.
